Description

The DVD1260 differential viscosity detector is designed to meet the requirements of modern GPC/SEC applications. Low-noise electronics combined with high-sensitivity, solvent resistant pressure transducers as well as superior sample path design with asymmetric 80:20 split result in an superior detection limit and high signal linearity.

Reference cell solvent transfer is achieved using a solenoid valve. This results in easy handling and safe operation especially when toxic solvents are used. The use of a hold-up reservoir reduces the analysis time by up to  50% compared with other viscometers and allows separation columns to be easily added or removed without detector modifications.

Proteins, synthetic, natural and biopolymers in solution can be characterized comprehensively. Combination of the DVD1260 with a Refractive Index detector provides access to true molar masses (based on the universal calibration approach) and structural information.

The viscometer can be combined with a single 90° light scatterer (RALLS) for molar mass determination based on the triple detection model or can be combined with a multi angle light scattering detector (MALLS) for complete absolute characterization.
