Acusera 24.7 Live Online Interlaboratory Programme

Supplier: Randox Laboratories 13/12/2012

Description

Randox are pleased to announce the launch of a new web based inter-laboratory data management programme Acusera 24.7 Live Online.  Acusera 24.7 is specifically designed to complement the Acusera range of third party quality controls and aims to improve the effectiveness of quality control processes within the clinical laboratory whilst also helping to interpret QC results.  With Acusera 24.7 users have the ability to extensively monitor analytical performance and access peer group reports quickly and easily online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

External quality assessment (EQA) is performed periodically providing laboratories with a retrospective assessment of performance.  Acceptable EQA performance however does not guarantee the accuracy and reliability of laboratory testing.  Participation in an effective inter-laboratory programme like Acusera 24.7 is essential in order to ensure the accuracy of patient test results.  Access to comprehensive charts, reports and statistically relevant peer group data generated from thousands of laboratories worldwide enable users to identify any trends, system errors and reagent issues thus minimising expensive repeat tests and unnecessary troubleshooting.  Acusera 24.7 will automatically analyse all QC data and apply user defined QC multi-rules highlighting any rejected results in red and alerted results in orange. Upon logging into the software users are presented with a unique homepage displaying any unreviewed QC tests which have fallen outside performance limits in the last 7 days.  This convenient and user friendly function of the software allows quick and easy identification of any poor performing tests that require further investigation.  Such functions can even help laboratories to meet ISO15189 accreditation requirements with respect to the statistical analysis of quality control data.

A unique feature of Acusera 24.7 is that peer group data is updated every 24 hours allowing real time comparison of data from multiple instruments and laboratories.  Rapid access to the most up to date information available aids the troubleshooting process and may even help to identify issues before they arise in your laboratory.

Acusera 24.7 Live Online eliminates the need for local installation making it the perfect solution for affiliated laboratory groups and laboratory chains.  In addition to this the new system offers a wide range of tools to effectively monitor your laboratory’s performance. Fully interactive Levey-Jennings and Histogram charts are generated automatically by the software and can be used to identify any trends or bias.  The interactive nature allows users to zoom in and look in-depth at a specific time frame, the ability to combine multiple levels of control, multiple parameters and/or multiple instruments on one easy to interpret chart even allows users to determine if the same trends are seen with more than one control or parameter.  Users can also add actions or comments enabling advanced data review.

A comprehensive range of detailed reports are also available allowing exceptional data analysis and review.  The audit trail report records all events leading to the creation, modification and deletion of an electronic record and is extremely useful for documenting the review process it may also help laboratories to meet regulatory requirements. The peer group statistics report allows laboratories to view the peer group statistics to which their results are compared.  Additional reports include the exception report and laboratory comparison report both of which are ideal for laboratory managers responsible for multiple laboratory sites.

The 24.7 Live Online software is capable of connecting directly to the laboratories instrument, LIS or middleware via our fully automated connectivity solution Acusera 24.7 Connect reducing the time and risks associated with manual data entry.
