Description
To satisfy the increasing demand for low-cost particle counters for various applications, PCE Instruments recently added the PCE-PCO 2 – as an addition to the existing PCE-PCO1 - as well as the very affordable PCE-RCM 10 and PCE-MPC 10 particle counters to their range of products. The models offered before these new dust meters have been launched are highly professional, high-end devices with lots of functions and a wide range of measurable particle sizes which are still very popular. However, some companies have either limited requirements (e. g. only few particle sizes needed) or a low budget or even both. For these customers, the previously (and still) offered particle counters were simply too expensive. Therefore, the demand for affordable dust measuring devices kept increasing.
As implied, the PCE-PCO 2 was introduced to offer one more function than the PCE-PCO 1 does. The PCE-PCO 2 dust meter measures particle sizes of 0.3 µm, 0.5 µm, 1.0 µm, 2.5 µm, 5.0 µm and 10 µm, like the PCE-PCO 1, but also measures mass concentrations of 0 ... 2000 µg/m³. This new particle counter is to offer a more affordable alternative to the more expensive options.
The more basic particle counter models PCE-MPC 10 and PCE-RCM 10 can be used for quick and easy indicative measurements of particle concentrations in the air, for instance in offices and other workplaces to observe health and safety of employees. The measurable particle sizes are 2.5 µm and 10 µm.
PCE Instruments, with headquarters in Germany and offices in Chile, France, Spain, Italy, China, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Turkey, Poland, the UK and the US, manufactures and sells test instruments, control systems, laboratory and weighing equipment for a vast range of different purposes and applications, to a great extent under the label "PCE Instruments®", but also from other renowned producers. PCE also provides pre- and aftersales technical advice as well as calibration and re-calibration services.
