The infiTOF is a high performance, small footprint time of flight mass spectrometer. By using multi-turn technology its possible to make the unit much smaller than traditional mass spectrometers without sacrificing the resolution. Multi-turn is a published and well known TOF technology.
The first prototype was developed by Osaka university in 1996. After some improvements, MALDI TOF-TOF, ESI-TOF and TOF-SIMS were developed based on Multi-turn technology. The main feature of Multi-turn is, "Compact with High Resolution," and also "Tunable Resolution."
Applications: Forensic Analysis, First Response Environmental Hazards, In-Field Analysis Features and Benefits: Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry in a portable format that sacrifices none of the resolution, No trade-off between sensitivity and resolution.
